EARTHQUAKE IN IPSWICH? Two long crevasses extending for hundreds of yards (scale estimate) have damaged Ipswich's main business centre. Brisbane-street yawns wide open, split two places by this strata movement. The double cataclysm, one from Thorn-street, the other passing through the Congregational Church Grounds, joins in Devil's Gully, to form a gaping crevasse down to the river bank. Little damage has been done, chiefly because the disaster occurred in the plasticene model of Ipswich which lies in the Court House. In the recent dry weather the plasticene has dried out and now is cracking up. 22 September 1939 - Queensland Times (Ipswich, Qld.)

✅ Sexfest Permit Approved With 300-Person Cap And Monitoring

Council granted a Temporary Entertainment Event Licence for Sexfest at Calvert with strict conditions, capping attendance at 300 and relocating activities to the centre of the property for screening and safety.
